My main goal when designing the XQR system was to create a product line that would crossover into the mainstream accessories market while still serving my audience of photographers and content creators, alike.
In recent years, I’ve noticed the emergence of modern creators who express themselves through originality, independence and adaptability. These creators are multi-disciplined, constantly reinventing their craft and how they create. They demand gear that offer as much style, and flexibility as the lives they live.
I’ve dedicated the last year doing research and development, concept creation to final product manufacturing to perfect our new product line. The beating heart of the system is the aptly named XQR strap, for its focus on cross-functional and quick release capabilities. At its base, it is a technically advanced camera strap, which features an ingeniously designed FIDLOCK magnetic buckle that when worn cross body, the quick release buckle allows the user to take off the strap by a pull of the tab, rather than awkwardly over the shoulder.

The system really shows its versatility through its modular design that allows endless solutions to the modern creator’s carry needs. Using the provided attachments, you can swap accessories on the go without sacrificing functionality, making this the most resourceful strap on the market.
In addition to product design, I creative directed and produced with the help of my team, all of the content for a 30 day social media roll out, including product photography, video, motion graphics and lookbook photography. I also spearheaded our social strategy, which includes a micro-influencer campaign, editorial coverage, and targeted digital advertising.
This product roll out has given me the opportunity to use my skills and experience to bring the XQR system to life. But working with and managing my team has taught me a lot as well, especially in the areas of SEO, website optimization, and Facebook pixel integration. Collaboration is key, realizing you can’t do everything on your own, so trusting the people around you is imperative for efficient results. The best part however, is broadening your knowledge base along the way.
